For security reasons, it is a good idea to remove references to Joomla from your output, preventing targeted attacks. Response headers contain the last reference to Joomla that cannot be removed from your output. Until now.
By hiding the fact that your site is running Joomla, those interested in attacking your site cannot quickly determine what your site is running.
By default, Clean Response alters the X-Content-Encoded-By header from "Joomla! 1.5" to "PHP", although the actual header value can be configured in the plugin.

This plugin uses an experimental pre-emptive class override technique to alter the behaviour of core functionality. Although it is built to fail gracefully, I suggest you test this plugin in your environment before general deployment.
