Hi Michael. I checked the order of the plugins and made sure 'HeadTag' runs after 'Eprivacy'. I tried both 'public' and the accepted cookies level but in both cases there are no GA cookies set when there is no interaction with the cookies module (no acceptance or rejection of cookies). There are no cookies at all when the site is loaded.
Should there be GA cookies when it is set up like this? I would kind of expect this, but I still can;t really wrap my head around the Eprivacy plugin
Hi Michael, I just realised that on the site I am trying this on we do not use the 'normal;' GA tracking code, bu we have a Google Tag Manager code. We then use Google Tag manager to add GA to the site. So I don'tn know if that would make a difference?
The GA code is loaded by the HeadTag plugin. This is set by the headtag plgin. This script is loaded with the 'no cookies needed' level. The G tagmanaer script is visible in the sourcecode. But there are no cookies ans no tracking
When I use the cookies consent module to deny cookies the Google cookies are loaded and GA is tracking. So the user needs to interact with the module to either deny or agree to cookies. So that's why I thought maybe the headtag loaded G tag-manager code needed to be in 'public' to work without any interaction with the cookies module. But that seems not to be the case.
