Thanks... no worries... it is written as necessary cookie (functional and technical) in the policy, so no need for a hurry...

In that case, you can set the force session cookie value to true and call it a day.

Hi, I think the puzzle to be solved is because of the dot in front of the cookie domain.
Pieter's cookie, the joomla session cookie, is saved with domain cadet.nl (without dot in front of the domain); once cookies are accepted the plg_system_eprivacy cookie is set with the domain .cadet.nl (with the dot in front of the domain).
If I remove the cookies only the one with the dot in front of the domain is removed.
I have a similar behaviour in my website: in my case, the joomla session cookie is set with .mydomain.com
I have another application which set a cookie with mydomain.com
If I remove cookies only the one with the dot is removed.
In the plugin settings I set the cookie domain to .mydomain.com; I also added a second domain without the dot (mydomain.com) but the last one is not removed.

So, to summarize, it seems, but I may be wrong, that only cookies with the dot in front of the domain are blocked and removed by the plugin (in my case I cannot remove the mydomain.com cookie, in Pieter's case the session cookie without the dot is not blocked nor removed).
Any other to confirm?

I saw the same thing with a users site last night. I was not able to remove cookies for his domain until I added the leading dot. I was working directly in the javascript console - eliminating the plugin code entirely. As soon as he altered his module setting cookies to set them with the leading dot - everything worked like a charm.

I think I need to update the documentation to reflect this.
