Link to privacty article rather than menu item?

Hello
Is it possible to link to a privacy policy that doesn't appear as a menu item please? I just have it as a link at the bottom of a template. Menu item seems to be the only way at present - or perhaps I'm not seeing how otherwise to do it.
Thanks for any pointers.

Linking to an article without a menu item, you end up with a non-SEF URL. This is a very standard way of doing things in Joomla.

Alternatively, you could override the text of the notice to include whatever links you want.

Thanks. I'll work out how to sort out a second horizontal menu in the footer of my template, or try to remember how to do overrides, as I don't want a link to the privacy policy in the main menu. Or maybe I'll try a hidden menu... So many opportunities!

I often create a hidden menu for items like this, where I never publish a module.

Just having the menu created will make the SEF URLs - any time you link to these menu items, they will be SEF.

Yes i think that's a good idea. Then I don't have to figure out the template issues of a second horizontal menu but can still use my text links - but to the menu item urls instead of the articles.

If I may go off topic for a second, did I see you do an extension for a 'go to top of the page' button? I can't find it on your site to download or buy but I'm sure I saw it somewhere earlier today and it could be just the thing I need! Thanks.
