I'm using 3.9.1 since my site is very simple and only uses session and Google Analytics cookies. My bug is that while the plugin works perfectly on the main pages, even though I accept or decline cookies, the ribbon still appears on pages that pop-up and the accept or decline buttons don't work to get rid of the ribbon. The pop-ups are single articles. Joomla 3.8.10
I tried removing the module from those pages but that didn't change anything. Is there a way we could specify which pages for the ribbon to appear on?
I experienced the same issue today on my website. The solution that worked for me was to enable the plugin "AJAX - EU e-Privacy Directive" that comes with the installation of EU e-Privacy Directive.
Hope this helps,
Yes, thank you dageldar - the System - EU ePrivacy Directive, Ajax - EU ePrivacy Directive, and System - EU ePrivacy Directive Geo IP plugins must ALL be enabled. They are all required for proper function of this extension. Also required is the mod_eprivacy module. If any are not enabled, the extension will not function correctly.
Thanks Michael and Dag,
Even though I'm using 3.9.1 I do have the module and the Ajax plugin enabled on all pages. I think the problem derives from simply using popups, since it seems that I can call only the article into the popup but not any modules that might be assigned to that article. If I use the modal cookie alert instead of the page ribbon then there is no problem on the popups. So I'll either stick with the modal cookie alert or turn my pop-ups into normal links.
