Sorry if I am being thick or you have already answered this but I haven't managed to find the answer elsewhere...

I am struggling to understand how the Accept / Decline mapping to View Access Levels and Groups works, and how to use it to do what I want it to. My site is not uncommon.

  • Guests get Login and Register menu items.
  • Registered Users get Logout menu item.

I have application-specific groups under Registered Users, but that is not particularly relevant.

Now I want it to work like this:

  • Guests with Cookies Accepted get Login and Register menu items (and Public menu items).
  • Guests with Cookies Declined get Public menu items only.
  • Registered Users get Logout menu item (and Public menu items).

But I have no idea how to configure this.

Can you help?

Just to clarify a little - the most confusing bit is that the Plugin asks you to select View Access Levels for Accepted / Declined rather than groups.

The difficulty I have is to stop the Login / Register menu entries appearing when the user is logged in.

However I suspect the same would be true for modules.

In other words, is it possible to distinguish between the two states:

  • Cookies accepted and logged in
  • Cookies accepted and logged out
