Yeah, when I have access to the video I'll post it. I only had an hour, so it wasn't exactly a tutorial - it was more of a toe-in-the-water introduction so people could see that it's not only possible, but also not scary.

UserGroup.tv was there recording all of the sessions - and they had way nicer equipment than me (I just brought a gopro, they had professional recording equipment)

Thanks very interesting presentation and would be nice to know the business case of the scaling company that could be a good input for whole Joomla community. Miss a bit of use of Joomla cookies though! :)

All the best!

There were a lot of cookies leftover. The Microsoft facility hosts a weekly "Girls who Code" class, and I offered the remaining cookies to them.

My customer does aviation training, and the servers around the world facilitate faster connections depending on the visitors location. I don't rely on GeoDNS - I actually do 3 latency tests to all of my hosting locations and pick the winner to redirect. The users are downloading presentation training materials (think powerpoint, but more closely tracked). Throughout the presentation, data is being sent back to the LMS to monitor progress and perform automated tasks upon completion. I can't follow the logs anymore without grep'ing specific items I'm interested in seeing.....it just goes by too fast.

I recently implemented a method to track user actions within the training modules inside of Google Analytics - which was a trick, because GA considers the other server locations to be different domains (they're subdomains) and won't talk to them without the new JavaScript sendMessage API. I think I'll be doing a lot more of that in the future though ;)
