- test using google chrome -

If i set the privacy url the link is shown in modal window.
But it seems as if any access to the url is blocked because i did not yet accept cookies.
Imho this does not make sense. ;-)

I do not see that behavior when in chrome (or FF)

The modal opens, I click the privacy policy link and I'm immediately taken to that URL and the modal re-opens.

I agree, that the modal is in the way - but the circular nature of acceptance in the plugin allows the user to decline, read the policy, reconsider and then accept.

Hm, really strange, i tested it with and without seo url. In both cases the privacy link is shown but nothing happens if you click on it.

You may have a z-index issue. That is covered in the documentation.

Some template designers use z-index to position header elements, which may put a transparent element on top of your ribbon or modal. In Chrome, you should be able to right click and "Inspect Element". If the element isn't the policy link, then you've got a z-indexed layer that's positioned itself on top of the ribbon or modal.

I've got a piece of code that I've been meaning to implement to resolve this. It looks at the entire page and takes account of all elements and their z-index - then returns a z-index value that will be above everything else. It would definitely resolve some support requests.

Let me know if it's a z-index issue!

I'll check it out, but it may take a while because of heavy workload ;-)
