Overview
Prevent specific user groups from modifying their proper names! Enforce static names for chosen groups. This extension maintains the stability of critical contact information on your Joomla site.
Installation
- Download: Grab the latest version of User - Static Name from richeyweb.com.
- Install: Log in to your Joomla administrator area, navigate to System > Install > Extensions, and upload the plugin package.
- Enable: Go to System > Manage > Plugins, search for "User - Static Name," and enable it.
Configuration
The User - Static Name plugin features two configuration settings:
- Restricted Groups. Select the user groups you want to prevent from changing their names, ensuring consistency and accountability across your Joomla site.
- Hide Name Field: When enabled, the name field is not displayed at all. When disabled, the name field is set to readonly.
