Rush Signals 40th Anniversary Playlist

Signals is the ninth studio album by the Canadian progressive rock band Rush, released on September 9, 1982, by Anthem Records. It serves as a stylistic bridge from the band's earlier hard-edged prog rock sound toward a more synth-driven, technology-infused aesthetic that defined their 1980s output. Recorded during a transitional period following the massive success of Moving Pictures (1981), the album emphasizes melodic accessibility, electronic textures, and themes of suburban alienation, human connection, and technological progress. At 40:55 in length, it features seven tracks and marks Rush's final collaboration with longtime producer Terry Brown, who had shaped their sound since 1974.
