The article, "Everything your parents told you about cookies is a lie!", explores the evolving landscape of web privacy and cookie compliance, and I’m deeply honored to have my work recognized by such a respected voice in the Joomla community.
This feature means so much to me—it’s not just about the plugin itself but about the years of dedication I’ve poured into creating tools that support Joomla users and the open-source ethos. Competition with WordPress comes down to community engagement - and they've got us beat, hands down. 90% of the WordPress extension ecosystem is free, while Joomla only provides 40% free extensions. The e-Privacy plugin has been an ongoing project, and this kind of recognition really means a lot. Developed to service my own customers, I made it free as a pay-it-forward to the Joomla community that has always been there to support open source developers and projects. I can't state enough how this makes me feel - it's a great honor to be mentioned in the magazine again...it's been a while - and in English this time!
My wife isn't generally happy about free software. It's free because it's a business card. When my free software helps you to achieve your goals, it becomes more likely that any custom work you have might be directed my way. I get to benefit by making the web a better place, and maybe get some custom work on the side.
